Welcome to the Why Send Humans to Space webinar, the fourth session in the Space 101 series. Hosted by the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration, the series aims to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of the technology needed to return to the Moon and answer questions surrounding NASA’s upcoming Artemis I mission.

The Why Send Humans to Space webinar took place on April 14 via WebEx, and covered topics such as the need for both humans and robots as we look toward establishing a sustained presence on the Moon under the Artemis program, which will soon kick off with the first integrated launch of NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft.

Speakers for the webinar included:

  • Doug Hurley, NASA astronaut (ret.) and Northrop Grumman’s senior director of business development.
