Coalition For Deep Space Exploration Statement Demo-2 Successful Launch

 

WASHINGTON, D.C.The Coalition for Deep Space Exploration (CDSE) – a broad-based association of companies supporting NASA’s programs in human and scientific exploration of space, space commerce, and the advancement of space technology – congratulates NASA and SpaceX on a successful launch of the Demo-2 test flight with astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley today from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

“Congratulations to NASA and SpaceX on the first launch to the International Space Station from U.S. soil in nearly a decade,” said Dr. Mary Lynne Dittmar, president & CEO of CDSE. “Together with the forthcoming Starliner launches, as well as NASA’s Artemis program and the development of key capabilities such as the Space Launch System, the Orion crew vehicle, Exploration Ground Systems, the lunar Gateway and Human Landing System, this milestone advances American leadership in space.”
