Major Space Related Activities for the Week

  • Lots will be going on this week in the U.S. House and Senate, as they continue efforts to implement the Fiscal Responsibility Act, including budgetary restrictions as they work to implement a fiscal year 2024 budget.   • On Thursday, NASA astronauts Steve Bowen and Woody Hoburg are scheduled to conduct a six-to-seven-hour spacewalk to install the sixth in a series of Roll Out Solar Arrays (iROSAs) to upgrade the International Space Station’s (ISS) solar power generation system. NASA plans to provide live coverage beginning at 7:45 a.m. EDT, on NASA TV and by streaming at www.nasa.gov/nasalive.
