NASA’s Orion spacecraft is a mix of old and new: the tried and tested Apollo-era capsule design elements have been married with Shuttle-era crew amenities and modern technology. With the ability to carry a crew of four, a “glass cockpit” digital control system and an auto-dock feature, Orion will truly be a spacecraft of the 21st century.
