NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) was launched toward the Moon in June 2009.

A huge payoff from the longevity of the LRO mission is the repeat coverage of the lunar landscape obtained by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera system that includes a Wide Angle Camera (WAC).

A new product from the LRO is an unprecedented 100 meter scale near-global (0° to 360° longitude and 80°S to 80°N latitude) topographic map of the Moon.

Thanks to LRO team members at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) take a look at Earth’s Moon via a 25 second video – like you have never seen it before!
