Douglas Cooke worked in NASA positions for 38 years, culminating in his retirement as Associate Administrator in 2011. He served in engineering and program management positions in the Space Shuttle, ISS, and Human Exploration programs. In his last year at NASA, he led efforts within NASA to adopt the current vehicle designs for the Orion and the SLS. He is also the recipient of numerous commendations, including the Presidential Distinguished Rank Award. Cooke is the owner of Cooke Concepts and Solutions, an aerospace consulting firm. He advises on company strategies, program management, proposal development, program strategies, and technical matters.
