Dan is the Professor of the Engineering Practice of Aeronautics & Astronautics at Purdue University and the former Deputy Associate Administrator of NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate. In his career with NASA, he was awarded the Silver Snoopy Award, the NASA Distinguished Service Medal and the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Service, among other honors.
